Valentino Quits as Fashion Designer

Valentino Garavani, one of the most famous fashion designers of the world, has recently announced he will quit as a fashion designer.
Valentino Garavani is now more 70 years old and he has chosen this year for quitting because he believes it will be “the perfect moment to say goodbye to the world of fashion”. However, Valention has said the will stay on till January 2008, because he is already working on the ready-to-wear collection for Paris from October and also on the haute couture range for January.
Before making public this announcement Valentino has had three days of parties in July for celebrating 45 years of the fashion house that bears his name and that has made him famous all over the world.
Valentino has been long expected resign, while the rumors have been telling that Alessandra Fachinetti, a younger designer and a former Gucci employee, is likely to be poised to take over.
