Jamie Lee Curtis Joined the Cast behind “South of the Border”

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis has accepted to join the cast behind the comedy “South of the Border”. Jamie Lee Curtis and Piper Perabo will be the only live-action characters in the movie, while the rest of the cast will only lend their voice to the project. The other actors, who will only voice characters, are Andy Garcia, Drew Barrymore, Salma Hayek, George Lopez, Paul Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Edward James Olmos, Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo and famous tenor Placido Domingo.
The story within the comedy is that of a spoiled Beverly Hills Chihuahua dog (voiced by Drew Barrymore), who will be lost in Mexico, having to rely only on her new friends so that she could get back home.
Jamie Lee Curtis will play the dog’s owner, Aunt Viv. The actress most recent film credits are “The Kid & I” and “Christmas with the Kranks”.
“South of the Border” will be directed by Raja Gosnell.
