Larry King Might Owe Apology to Alzheimer’s Patients

Talk show host Larry King was called on to apologize for his insensitive remarks about the Alzheimer’s disease. Patrick Moffett, the author of a book about the terrifying disease, is the one who did it. King’s remarks seemed to be made during a recent interview with The New York Times.
Larry King seems to have said that he will retire if “, God forbid, I had an onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s. That would be it.” Patrick Moffett, however, hasn’t stopped to be Larry King’s fan. He said only: “I just think he should be a little more sensitive about Alzheimer’s for the sake of all of us that are dealing with this dreadful disease.”
Moffett wrote “Ice Cream in the Cupboard”, which is a book about the difficulties of being an Alzheimer’s patient, or a caregiver for this kind of patients.
