After four years of shockingly staying together as a couple, Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton shocked the whole world by breaking up. No one would have expected it; anyway, it happened.
Instead of proposing Kate, as he was expected to, Prince William seems to have decided to be single for a little while. The royal correspondent for Hello! magazine, Judy Wade, said that she was “absolutely shocked” at the separation. “So recently we’ve seen them looking so happy together at the rugby and at Cheltenham.” Wade said. “She was absolutely perfect.” But maybe the apparent perfection wasn’t everything.
However, the reason of the separation became the subject of many discussions. It wasn’t the press pressure that separated them. It seems that Kate was in fact tired to have the life she’s been living for so much time: neither Royal nor commoner.
Max Clifford said that in recent months it had become obvious that Prince “William wanted to go out and enjoy him”. He also added: “My instinct tells me that there is somebody else in the background.” But who could it be?
Prince William and Kate Middleton met at St. Andrews University in Scotland, where they were students. Since the prince started taking an armored corps commander course in Dorset, their relation grew colder, as he wasn’t able to be together with Kate, who was having her own life in London.

Kaoru Kuroki, a Japanese former porn star won $14,000 (or 1.7 million yen) in a Tokyo court case that involved infringement of privacy by the gossip magazines. Although she had been originally seeking about $185,000 (or 22 million yen), she finally won only $14,000.
However, the one who lost the case was Tokyo-based Shogakukan Inc., who was found guilty for its reports from of its weekly magazines on the private life of the actress, although she had retired.
Judge Izumi Takizawa said: “The sensational articles that revealed the private life of the plaintiff, who now lives as an ordinary citizen, are illegal.” The former actress should have been asked for her approval before the articles were published.
Kuroki’s attorney said: “It can’t be said all stories of this kind are illegal, but the publisher should have gained her consent.”
Shogakukan Inc. now wants to appeal to a higher court.

After last week’s Don Imus calling the Rutgers University women’s basketball team “nappy-headed ho’s” while he was on the air, everybody went crazy. CBS Radio and MSNBC decided first to suspend Imus for two weeks only. MSNBC-TV said also that it would not simulcast “Imus in the Morning” anymore.
However, this decision seemed not to be the right one. The pressure from the civil rights advocates and employees made CBS radio to announce the definitive release of Don Imus.

The Italian police started the investigations in the case of the Italian porn star Moana Pozzi, who died 13 years ago. After her husband recently said in an interview that in fact he injected air into Pozzi’s intravenous medicine drip, so that she would not suffer a slow death from cancer, the prosecutors opened the investigation.
Antonio Di Ciesco is the name of the husband who is now suspected of euthanasia. This one said he was airing the details to stem the rumors that Moana Pozzi was still alive.
Di Ciesco also said that it was a “decision we took with serenity”, which also represented “the right choice”. Just one day after Di Ciesco’s confession, Riccardo Schicchi, the former manager of Moana Pozzi, accused Di Ciesco of murder. Schicchi said that Pozzi “had no intention of asking for euthanasia”.
After they had obtained the medical records from the French clinic where Moana Pozzi died, the Rome prosecutors said they would question Di Ciesco, Riccardo Schicchi and Moana Pozzi’s mother.
Di Ciesco might be charged with “killing a consenting adult”.

Talk show host Larry King was called on to apologize for his insensitive remarks about the Alzheimer’s disease. Patrick Moffett, the author of a book about the terrifying disease, is the one who did it. King’s remarks seemed to be made during a recent interview with The New York Times.
Larry King seems to have said that he will retire if “, God forbid, I had an onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s. That would be it.” Patrick Moffett, however, hasn’t stopped to be Larry King’s fan. He said only: “I just think he should be a little more sensitive about Alzheimer’s for the sake of all of us that are dealing with this dreadful disease.”
Moffett wrote “Ice Cream in the Cupboard”, which is a book about the difficulties of being an Alzheimer’s patient, or a caregiver for this kind of patients.
