Anna Nicole Smith to Finally Rest in Peace

The body of late Anna Nicole Smith is now to finally find its peace. The funeral of the former model has taken place in Bahamas, after the almost endless fight over her body and not only.
Anna Nicole Smith’s coffin has been carried down a red carpet by pallbearers in pink ties. The former Playboy model herself has been buried in a pink gown and also a tiara. Anna Nicole Smith has been buried near her son Daniel’s grave, as she seems to have wanted.
Aged 39, Smith died on the 8th of February 2007 in a Florida hotel room. The cause of death has not been found yet. However, the tragic event has triggered also endless battles on two main fields: the custody of Smith’s little daughter, who could inherit an important amount of money and the fighting over Smith’s body.
It seems that time has solved one of the problems: Anna Nicole’s body had to be buried. About three hundred people have attended the private funeral from the Mount Horeb Baptist Church. Hundreds of tourists and islanders have tried to watch the guests behind the police-guarded barricades.
Pink has been the main color of the funeral. Pink seems to have been the most suitable color for the personality of late Smith, whose both life and death have been very much like a soap opera.

Stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to Adopt Another Child

A Vietnamese adoption official has said that actress Angelina Jolie and her partner, actor Brad Pitt, have filed papers for adopting a Vietnamese child. Vu Duc Long is the head of his country’s international adoption department. He said he received the papers in which the Hollywood stars were asking permission to adopt the child a few days ago.
Vu Duc Long has added that they will consider Angelina Jolie like any other American person who wants to adopt a Vietnamese child. Because the actress is not yet married, “the file was from her individually. It will take a few months for us to consider this.” – has also said the Vietnamese official.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt spent their Thanksgiving holiday in an orphanage near Ho Chi Minh city. They played with the children. This added to Jolie’s statement from June 2006, when she said she had plans to adopt again. The actress has first adopted a child in 2002. Cambodian-born Maddox is now five years old and he has other two baby sisters: Ethiopian-born Zahara and Namibian-born Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.
The Vietnamese child would be the forth child that Angelina Jolie will have adopted and only the second since she is Brad Pitt’s partner.
