The Police of Beverly Hills, California, stated that the actor Lane Garrison (known for his role as “Tweener” in the Fox’s “Prison Break”) should be charged for his being implied in a horrible car crash. A teenager died as a result of the awful event.
On the 2nd of December 2006, Lane Garrison was driving together with three teenagers in his car, when it struck a tree. One of the three passengers, a 17-year old boy, died, while the other two were just injured.
The police said the blood alcohol level of Garrison was 0.20 %, which means more than two times California’s limit (0.08 %). The actor had also drugged himself with cocaine, as the blood tests later revealed.
If Garrison will be convicted for what he did, he could be charged with 10 years in state prison. The other charges should be added also to this term, the police said.
The actor’s attorney Harland Braun said that the cause of the terrible accident was in fact the brakes of the vehicle and that Garrison had had few drinks before. Everybody is now waiting for the Los Angeles city attorney’s office to see if they will or will not prosecute Garrison.
